Caglieans striker Roberto Soldado has confirmed that he hopes to win the Serie A with his team-mate Gianluigi Buffon.
“I hope we don’t play this season as a team against each other, because we can win it together,” Soldado said on Monday.
Soldado has scored 11 goals in 16 Serie A games this season, while Buffon has scored nine goals in 14 games.
A lot of people, especially Buffon, are talking about the possibility of Buffon playing for the Juventus squad.
This season has been tough for Buffon due to the suspension of Giampiero Ventura from the Serie B team due to a red card against Bologna in mid-February.
Ventura was suspended for six matches, after his team were punished by Sampdoria in midweek.
Buffon has started the season on the bench, but he has been used as a replacement in the last few games.
Sampdoria are third in the table, two points behind third-placed Fiorentina and four behind second-placed Milan.
